To transfer the ACDSee database to a different disk, use Windows File Explorer to copy the database folder to the desired location (e.g., Disk D), and then reopen the database from its new location.

The following example illustrates the steps to move the database in ACDSee Home 2023 version to a new location:

1) Close ACDSee if it is currently running.
2) Using Windows File Explorer, create a folder on Disk D (e.g., D:\ACDDB).
3) Copy the "250Home" subfolder, along with its contents, from "C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\ACD Systems\Catalogs" to the "D:\ACDDB" folder created in step 2.

*Note: If you cannot view the 'AppData' folder in Windows Explorer, follow these steps:

- In Windows File Explorer, click the View menu, and then click the Options button. Select "Change folder and search options." Alternatively, you can go to the Control Panel and click "Open File Explorer Options."
- Click the View tab.
- Select "Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drivers."
- Click Apply and then the OK button.

4) Launch ACDSee and navigate to File > Database > Open... to access the Default.dbin file in the "D:\ACDDB\250Home" folder.
5) A prompt will appear, requesting to restart ACDSee to open the database.
6) After restarting, verify that all ACDSee metadata information (e.g., categories, keywords, face data, etc.) remains intact.
7) Once you have confirmed that everything is in order, delete the previous database folder located at "C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\ACD Systems\Catalogs\250Home\Default" using Windows File Explorer.

This procedure can be adapted to move other versions of the ACDSee database to a new location.
