To restore the default database of a previous version of ACDSee for Mac, please use the following steps:
- In ACDSee Photo Studio for Mac, click Tools | Restore Database…
- In Finder’s dialog window, select your Home folder
- On the keyboard, press Cmd + Shift +. (Period) together to show the hidden user Library folder "~/Library"
- Navigate to the Database Folder “~/Library/Application Support/ACD Systems/ACDSee Photo Studio [version number]/Database” and then choose the Database File “com.ACDSystems.ACDSeePhotoStudio [version number] (version [version number]).mediaDatabase” to restore the database
Note following are the default database filenames and their folder locations:
ACDSee for Mac 10
The Database Filename is com.ACDSystems.ACDSeePhotoStudio10 (version 11.0).mediaDatabase and the Database Folder location is ~/Library/Application Support/ACD Systems/ACDSee Photo Studio 10/Database
ACDSee for Mac 9
The Database Filename is com.ACDSystems.ACDSeePhotoStudio9 (version 10.0).mediaDatabase and the Database Folder location is ~/Library/Application Support/ACD Systems/ACDSee Photo Studio 9/Database
ACDSee for Mac 8
The Database Filename is com.ACDSystems.ACDSeePhotoStudio8 (version 9.0).mediaDatabase and the Database Folder location is ~/Library/Application Support/ACD Systems/ACDSee Photo Studio 8/Database
ACDSee for Mac 7
The Database Filename is com.ACDSystems.ACDSeePhotoStudio7 (version 9.0).mediaDatabase and the Database Folder location is ~/Library/Application Support/ACD Systems/ACDSee Photo Studio 7/Database
ACDSee for Mac 6
The Database File name is com.ACDSystems.ACDSeePhotoStudio6 (version 9.0).mediaDatabase and the Database Folder location is ~/Library/Application Support/ACD Systems/ACDSee Photo Studio 6/Database
